Treasure Valley Managed Recharge Feasibility Study

Idaho Water Resource Board Projects

Notice

Water right changes made under the provisions of a drought declaration expire at the end of the current year unless extended or terminated by the IDWR Director.

The Idaho Water Resource Board commissioned the Treasure Valley Managed Recharge Feasibility Study to develop a better understanding of the feasibility of managed recharge as a long-term water management tool in the Treasure Valley. The study assessed the volume of water available for recharge, potential areas within the Treasure Valley suitable for managed recharge, and identification of preliminary costs for implementing managed recharge. The study was completed in February of 2020.
