Orders
Orders Overview
Orders are decisions or actions of the Department relating to its authority over management and protection of the water resources of the state as provided under Title 42, Idaho Code.
Categories of orders may include preliminary, recommended, and final orders. Parties to the case can file petitions for reconsideration or exceptions which may result in changes being made to the order.
Preliminary Orders
After a preliminary order is issued, it can and will become a final order without any further action of the Department unless a party petitions for reconsideration within 14 days or files exceptions and briefs as further provided below in the supplemental information pages:

Recommended Orders
After a recommended order is issued, it does not become final until a final order is issued by the Director. A party may file a petition for reconsideration within 14 days or exceptions and briefs as further provided below in the supplemental information pages:
